The Booking Story
A year before the wedding, Braden performed at a family friend's holiday party. Mia was in the room, and before the night was over she chased him out to his car to get his card. She hadn't even set a date yet.
The Plan
Mia and John had already booked a string quartet for cocktail hour. The magic wasn't there to replace the music. It was there to make an elegant hour interactive, giving guests something to gather around instead of just standing near the music.
The Moment That Mattered Most
After the ceremony, the wedding party left for photos. Mia and John came back early and went straight to Braden. Later they told him they had rearranged their photo schedule so they wouldn't miss the magic. On a day full of once-in-a-lifetime moments, they protected time for this one.
The Response
The courtyard sits on a babbling brook with the mountains behind it. Once word spread that a magician was working the crowd, guests started calling Braden over group by group, and he spent the full 90 minutes reaching as many of the 120 guests as he could.
Why This Worked
A string quartet sets the mood. Strolling magic gives guests a reason to put their drinks down and actually talk to each other during the part of the wedding that can feel like waiting for dinner. And when the couple makes sure not to miss it, the rest of the room knows it's worth their attention too.
