The Ask
Jaxon Engineering, a military and commercial contractor specializing in EMP protection, hosted a company brunch ahead of a team retreat. There was no stage, no seating chart, and no program, just 100+ engineers spread across the lobby and courtyard, already deep in conversation with their own teams. They needed entertainment that could work in that setting.

The Challenge
Nobody at a brunch is a captive audience. Nobody has been told to pay attention, and everyone is comfortable with the people next to them. Walking up to a group uninvited and making it work takes reading the room as much as performing for it, and figuring out who wants to be pulled in and who's happy to watch.

And this room was full of engineers. People who solve hard problems for a living don't fool easily, which makes the moment they can't figure it out land even harder. Braden's mix of sleight of hand and light mentalism gave every group just enough "how did he know that?" to catch them off guard.

What Happened
Word traveled fast. Groups started sending Braden to each other with "go show him" and "you have to see this," so each new group was already primed by the last one's reaction. At one point, a VP reacted so big that it became the talking point of the brunch, pulling people over just to see what had caused it.

For 2.5 hours, the room ran on unscripted laughter, a few good-natured screams, and a steady chorus of "What? How?" Nobody had to be rounded up. The energy carried itself from group to group.

What Jaxon Engineering Said
"Braden performed for our company's brunch in Colorado Springs. He was absolutely amazing, we had so much fun! Braden was also so easy to work with throughout the entire booking/scheduling process! I would highly recommend him for your corporate event!" โ Jaxon Engineering

Why This Works for Any Mingling-Style Event
This wasn't a show with a beginning and an end. It was dozens of small-group moments over 2.5 hours, each one adapted to whoever was standing there. That's what a buffet, a no-seating mixer, or a room full of side conversations needs: someone who can join a group uninvited, read what they want, and leave them talking after he's moved on.
Planning an event with open mingling, a buffet, or no formal program? That's exactly the format this style of magic is built for.
